Why Greys make the best pets

Greys are intelligent, affectionate, sensitive and gentle.
They have short fur and come in up to 30 colours. As they do not have undercoats they are less likely to trigger allergies than other breeds. They also don't tend to shed like other dogs.

Greyhounds are very lean and slim. Their lack of padding and their short fur means that they need soft bedding to prevent them getting sores. An odd little Grey quirk is that they sleep with their eyes open, and when they feel safe and comfortable will roach. Roaching is where they sleep on their backs with their legs in the air.
